Doron Cohen is Leverate’s Chairman of the Board of Directors. Prior to transitioning to his role as Chairman at the beginning of 2014, Doron also acted as co-CEO for almost five years. His primary areas of responsibility include leading the strategic thinking process, oversight of Leverate’s company and management performance, and management of board and investor relations.
Doron comes from a programming background, and with the other founding team members he helped create an automated forex arbitrage algo-trading engine, which eventually evolved into the original version of LXFeed, Leverate’s initial product. As the company continued to grow, Doron led the negotiations with Saxo Bank which resulted in Saxo’s acquisition of 25% of Leverate’s shares, as well as the development of Leverate Financial Services, Leverate’s regulated Cyprus-based subsidiary.
Doron is working closely with Leverate’s shareholders and board of directors to define the company’s goals, increase transparency and improve its corporate governance, and is in charge of the planning of the company’s corporate vision. He is also an accomplished sailor, and can frequently be found on the water during his free time.
